The 2013 WHSL season gets underway on April 14, 2013. The big news is that JCC of Northern Westchester and Synagogue Bet Am Shalom are fielding teams for the first time. They'll be listed here on the website as "Pleasantville" and "Bet Am Shalom", respectively. Pleasantville will share their home field, Bradford Park, with Woodlands. Bet Am Shalom will share Gillie Field with TIC-WP and WJC.

With an even 18 teams in the league, WHSL managers voted to split the league into three divisions for 2013 and 2014:

Division I: Greenburgh; B'nai; WJC; Larchmont; Woodlands; TIC-NR
Division II: Harrison; Chappaqua; First Hebrew; CSI; Scarsdale, TBE-New Rochelle
Division III: TBA; TIC-WP; Shaarei Tikvah; Bet Torah; Pleasantville, Bet Am Shalom

Division I teams will play each other twice and play each Division II team once. Division II teams play each Division I team once, each Division II team once, and 4 of the 5 other Division II teams.
Division III teams play each other twice and play each Division II team once.

The top 2013 finishers in Divisions II and III will be promoted to Divisions I and II, respectively, for 2014. The lowest 2013 finishers in Divisions I and II will be relegated to Divisions II and II, respectively, for 2014.

All scheduled WHSL games must be made up unless it is scheduled for a week when at least six games are rained out. Any rained out game (aside from those scheduled for a week in which six games were rained out) not played for any reason will result in a forfeit for both teams. August 18, 2013 will be scheduled as a rain-out make-up week. If, however, August 18 is rained out and any game required to be played is not completed by Monday, September 2, those games will count as forfeits for each team involved.

Playoffs: There will be a playoff tournament following the regular season for all teams except the bottom two finishers in Division III.  The playoff tournament will be single-elimination in the first two rounds, and double elimination for the final 4 teams. The bracket will be as follows:

Division 1 -1st place
Division 1 -2nd place
Division 1 -3rd place
Division 1 -4th place
Division 1 -5th place
Division 1 -6th place
Division 2 -1st place
Division 3 -1st place
Division 2 -2nd place
Division 2 -3rd place
Division 2 -4th place
Division 2 -5th place
Division 2 -6th place
Division 3 -2nd place
Division 3 -3rd place
Division 3 -4th place

No games are scheduled for Memorial Day and July 4 weekends, nor for the traditional break at the end of August and Labor Day weekend.

Looking forward to another great WHSL season!
